Chief Minister's Relief Fund was operational w.e.f., 19-11-1977 and it is doing yeoman service in assisting rural people especially those living Below Poverty Line and victims of Natural Calamities. The scheme is popularised and reached its zenith in providing relief to Poorest Of The Poor People. This can be attributed to his broader perspective in finding solution to the hardships faced by the families of Poorest of Poor in availing state-of-art health services and his generosity in extending helping hand to the needy without any discrimination.

The same is being continued with dedicated fervour and spirit by the present Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri. Nara Chandra Babu Naidu garu by streamlining the functioning and making it accessible to the needy.

The Representations / Applications received at CM Camp Office / Secretariat are examined by doctors for their suitability and make recommendations for sanction of assistance from CMRF. On finding the suitability, Chief Minister's Office issues Letter of Credit’s to the Patients (LoC) for getting treatment in the hospitals and LOC will be issued on the same day for emergency cases.

Further, assistance from CMRF also extended to the claims submitted for reimbursement expenditure made on treatment by submitting medical bills.

Extending financial assistance to the deserved people is also considered in the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

The representations/ applications received at CM camp office / secretariat are examined by doctors working at CMRF section and making recommendations for sanction of assistance from CMRF. Chief Minister's Office sanctions LOC’s to the patients (letter of credit) for admission in the hospitals for emergency cases on the same day. The assistance from CMRF also extended on reimbursement of medical bills and financial assistance to the deserved people by Hon’ble Chief Minister.
Government also assisting the persons who approaches the Hon’ble CM for treatment of any of the diseases (not having white card not covering Aarogyasri schemes) have to personally come to the trust clinic that is made functional at Old Government Hospital, Vijayawada near M.G Bus station between 8.30 AM to 12.30 PM daily. Trust clinic will generate a paper slip with the photo of the patient and Iris / thumb impression as a referral slip and sent to network hospitals for treatment.
